Ok, so as you know i have just started out this new photoblog for a few weeks now and i am trying to get new visitors.

Most of visitors on Internet usually comes from the Big G (yes, you know him). As some of you may or may not know, photoblogs has a huge problem with Google : they are mostly made out of … Yes, you guessed it : photos (if your photoblog does not contain pictures, this post might not be the first thing you have to think about right now). But Google feeds mostly on text, not images (well, it does but to a much lesser point).

Bottom line : photoblogs cannot really rely on their context to get indexed by Google to get traffic.

So we will cover here one  way to get get a better indexation from google for a photoblog : comment on other photoblogs. Of course, we’re talking about meaningful comments, not spam !

Putting comments on other blogs about photography has several benefits :

• You get other people to know about your blog (by putting a link back to your website in the comments) and then get direct traffic.
• Google indexs you better and in a more contextual way (please relate to better SEO expert than me but trust me on this one)

But to get Google to index your website, the website where you put your link has to be DoFollow. For more about Dofollow and Nofollow, please refer to Wikipedia.

To get back to the subject, i am building right now a list of good photoblogs or blogs about photography wich are Dofollow so i can put a comment on them to get my website knowned. Since it is a useful material for anyone in the same situation as i am, i have decided to make a blog post out of it.

Please let me know if they also have Commentluv or KeywordLuv. For those who are wondering, of course my own blog is Dofollow and have Commentluv and Keywordluv enabled (except on this page where i will remove all URLs in comment to avoid spam).
